There is now even greater demand than ever before for hi vis vests in a number of occupations and activities. Many professions require high visibility workwear, such as the emergency services and the police, but hi vis shirts and vests are equally useful for construction trades and recreational activities where visibility is an issue, such as jogging or cycling.
For some activities the simple high visibility vest may be the ideal choice, as it allows for freedom of movement and does not overheat the wearer. Those working amongst moving vehicles require more hi vis clothing to ensure adequate visibility. High visibility clothing should also comply with EN471 classification of the Health and Safety Executive's regulations. Health and Safety legislation cites that "choice of clothing should take into account ambient and artificial lighting conditions at the workplace and the effect of conditions such as fog and snow".
Our high visibility clothing is available in typically bright colours such as day-glo yellow to facilitate optimum visibility within a busy working environment. Ioma hi vis shirts and vests also incorporate retroreflective bands, making the wearer particularly visible when illuminated by vehicle headlights. By offering both these safety features in a range of clothing, it is possible to cater for a wide-range of requirements. The high visibility polo shirts are particularly useful for warmer environments and the sweatshirts for the colder environment. One particular advantage of these garments is that they are less likely to be removed than the traditional vest, thus increasing safety in your workplace.
