Leisurewear and casual workwear often involve contact with mud, water, paint, grease and debris. In these conditions the majority of people need to wear practical clothing. Leisurewear and casual workwear require comfort, such as fleeces. A material which is harsh upon the skin or tight could prevent a person from fully enjoying or concentrating in their activity. Leisure time may involve outside sports therefore it is important to have clothing which is warm (such as thermal wear) and waterproof. Leisurewear includes lightweight short coats, these are best for sports, working at heights or intense working conditions, enabling the legs to mobilise freely. Longer coats are ideal for long distance walking or sitting outdoors for long periods as they protect against sudden rain and keep the whole body warm. Hobbies are pursued on a regular basis therefore the same items may be worn each time. These items should be produced from durable materials so they last as long as possible.
